In March 2025, we saw some great slot releases that had evergreen themes, innovative mechanics, and popular mini games. Also, companies released a new type of LiveOps to engage users. We will cover them one by one in this month's report. Let’s start with this month’s highlight.
Month’s Highlight
Slotomania has been losing market share. Its top-grossing rank dropped from 92 to 125 in 2025. This allowed other slot games to gain market share. Cash Frenzy gained the most, followed by Cashman Casino and Lightning Link.
Although Slotomania is trying to copy Cash Frenzy’s success in terms of UI, Feature and LiveOps to regain market share, it still faces several performance issues. These include long load times, delays between pop-ups, slow slot loading, and rough animations.
On the other hand, Cash Frenzy has been a clear winner when it comes to product releases. Each slot and feature comes with multiple engaging mini-games. Their release cycle is also faster, with one or more high-quality slots being launched every week.
Recommendation: Reduce the time it takes to access the game. This includes decreasing the app size, minimizing the number of banners on login, and speeding up transitions.
Top Released Slots
1. Regal Riches by Slotomania
Slotomania has partnered with IGT (International Game Technology) to bring some of the famous land-based casino slots online. Playtika (the parent company of Slotomania) partnered with IGT to regain market share. They recently launched Regal Riches, an iconic IGT slot loved by players and casinos.
The mobile version offers a gameplay experience similar to the casino slot. However, Slotoamina’s LiveOps and feature banners continuously disrupt the gameplay. Interacting with these banners takes noticeably more time compared to other games, which makes the experience feel irritating.
Special Features
It has a Wild Meter that fills up as players collect wild symbols. When the meter reaches a certain point, it triggers a feature that releases wilds back onto the reels. This increases the chances of winning.
2. Mythic Flames by Cash Frenzy
It is a portrait-mode slot machine inspired by mythology and fantasy. It features symbols like a mythological god and goddess, a soldier, and a mythic weapon.
We have grown up reading and hearing stories about gods, warriors, and battles. Mythic Flames taps into that same heroic fantasy, making you feel like you are part of that world.
Special Features
Free Game: It is triggered when three or more House Scatter symbols land on the reels. Players will receive free spins and have the option to increase them using gems.
Firestorm Respin: There is lava present on each reel. With each fire that lands, it goes into the lava. When the lava reaches the top of any reel, the Firestorm Respin will be triggered.
Trial of Flames: There is a bar that fills with Wild symbols. When players fill it using Wild symbols, the Trial of Flames is triggered.
Recommendation: Voice-overs used in slot games can enhance the effect and make them more engaging.
3. Mega Hungry Super Plants by Cash Frenzy
It is a narrative-driven portrait mode slot machine. The narrative revolves around humans like plants who are hungry and want food. Players can spin to satisfy their hunger. In return, it rewards players by giving special features like free games.
Special Features
Free Games: It is triggered when you feed the super hungry plants 3 or more plants (symbols). During the free games, super hungry plants increase the odds of rewards by copying themselves on other reels.
Countdown Mode: During countdown mode, two kinds of features can be played, and it will be selected randomly.
Triple Chomp: During triple chomp mode, if all three plants (refer to video) appear, the triple chomp bomus will be triggered. Players can press special plant’s teeth to win big prizes.
Plant Ninja Mode: During plant ninja mode, if a bomb symbol appears, players will get to play a bonus game like Fruit Ninja.
Dancing Dice Feature: It will be triggered when players will the bar of dancing dice meter using the lady symbol. It is a classic board game where players roll the dice to move across the board and collect rewards. It can only be activated if you bet with high chip amounts, leading to high coin consumption.
This is a common strategy used by Cash Frenzy where they add strong narratives and popular classic games as mini-games within their slots to enhance engagement.
4. TNT Blast by Double Down Casino
It is a mining-themed slot featuring symbols like gold, diamonds, lanterns, mining equipments etc. It is one of the popular themes as players associate mining with adventure where they can find hidden gems. Mining slots are high-volatility slots, i.e., it is hard to win rewards, but if you win, it is huge.
Special Features
Free Spins: If you get Gold + Diamond >= 6 anywhere in the reel, it will trigger 12 free spins.
Mining Bonanza: If you get 6 Golds anywhere in the reel, it will trigger the mining bonanza feature. It will divide the screen into 4 different reels and give 12 free spins.
LiveOps
1. Ultimate Survivors
Cash Frenzy is running an event called Ultimate Survivor, where players have to survive through 5 levels. In each level, they need to win a certain number of chips by playing the slot machine within a limited number of spins. If they win, they move to the next level. If not, the dragon comes and eats them.
It is quite similar to the Lava Quest in Royal Match where players progress by completing levels and collect rewards along the way.
It nudges users to bet more to complete a level. This helps us increasing the coin consumption in the game.
Slotomania launched a similar LiveOps (Stash or Smash) event but with different functionality. It runs a short-time event (i.e., less than 10 minutes) where players must complete a mission at each step or get smashed.

2. St. Patrick’s Puzzles
Cash Frenzy launched St. Patrick’s Puzzles, a limited-time challenge where players solve word puzzles related to St. Patrick’s Day and win rewards.
How it works
Each day, users will get to play a word puzzle where they have to answer a question related to St. Patrick’s Day.
On completion of each puzzle, they will get a reward.
On completion of all puzzles, they will get to win a special reward.
If players don’t know the answer, they can ask other players from the Facebook fan page. This will also increase the engagement of the Facebook community.
St. Patrick’s Puzzles is incentivising users to engage with new content, come back each day to receive a reward, and complete all the puzzles to earn the final reward. Also, players who are inactive in the game but active in Facebook groups may return and play.

Other Market Trends
Mini Game: Ballinko Heat by Slotomania
Ballinko Heat is a mini game like pinball. Players get golden balls, and when they drop them, they bounce around and land in one of the buckets. Each bucket gives you a different amount of coins. Some buckets give small coins, some give very big coins. The objective is to land the ball in big prize buckets.
Recommendation: Mini-games provide new content to players to improve their longevity i.e. D30+ in the game. It may impact the monetisation as it give free coins in shorterm.
Monetisation Idea: Pick an Egg by Cash Frenzy
To reduce banner blindness, Cash Frenzy shows the offers after choosing an egg among 3. Once a player chooses, it shows the offer behind, and usually it is the best offer. It increases the first step of the conversion funnel: View, Click and Purchase.
It has also tried different themes in the past. For example, instead of eggs, a player could choose pie and pumpkin.
Recommendation: Players should get several options to purchase, and each should offer different value. For example, a user may not need coins, but they may need a free pass.
